Light and Hope: Transformational Impact in Christian Higher Education (Hardcover)

in 1989, Dr Johannes Oentoro and i received a calling from God to embark upon a Pelita Harapan (Light and Hope) movement in response to the God-given opportunity in this age for revival in true Christian edication. A foundation was formed, leaders gathered, vision and mission crystallized, teachers selected, tens of millions invested, schools fomed and finally “Universias Pelita Harapan” (UPH) was founded. 

The title of this collection is a rendering in English of UPH’s name : Pelita Harapan is aptly translated as Light and Hope. We trust that, this collection and the ongoing discussions which it prompts will indeed add further light and hope for the enterprise of Christian higher education, bu the grace of God for His glory alone.
